“Listed” means the vendor names the feature on its own pricing page; we haven’t verified how well it works. Not included: Workiz, because we didn’t find a pest control page among its industries; Briostack, because its pricing page returned “page does not exist” when we checked on Oct 10, 2026.

Solo tech vs small team

One route

You need recurring quarterly or monthly visits, routing that keeps drive time down, and autopay so you’re not chasing invoices. GorillaDesk Basic ($49/mo) lists invoice frequencies and basic routing up to 25 stops; its Pro plan ($99/mo) adds card subscriptions, a customer portal and QuickBooks. Jobber Core and QuoteIQ Essentials cost less but aren’t pest-specific.

2–5 techs

Pricing models differ a lot here: GorillaDesk charges per route, Jobber and Housecall Pro include 5 users on their team plans, and FieldRoutes prices by active customers. If you do termite work or commercial IPM, add PestPac and FieldRoutes demos to your list and ask for a written quote with every module you’d need.

Who each tool fits, and when to skip it

G GorillaDesk

Fits: owner-operators and small pest companies that want pest-focused routing, invoice frequencies and material tracking at a published monthly price.

Maybe skip if: you need QuickBooks, a customer portal or card subscriptions but want to stay on Basic. All three are listed on Pro.

F FieldRoutes

Not sure where to start? Take the 5-question quiz. It scores four general tools (Jobber, Housecall Pro, QuoteIQ and Workiz); this guide also covers the pest-specific tools the quiz doesn’t score yet.

Paying a crew? Payroll is usually separate.

Job apps track hours, but payroll and payroll taxes are normally handled by a payroll service. Gusto lists its Simple plan at $49/mo + $6/mo per person, as checked Oct 10, 2026 (source).

How we choose

How we choose. Our picks are based on each vendor’s public pricing page: listed prices, the features named for each plan, and plan limits such as included users. We haven’t run these products ourselves, so we describe features as “listed,” not tested, and we say when a price isn’t published. We rank by fit for your trade and team size, not by payout.
