Jobber vs Housecall Pro for a small lawn care business
Updated Oct 10, 2026 · Prices and features from each vendor’s public pricing page · How we choose
The short version
- Price for one person: Jobber Core is listed at $29/mo billed annually ($49/mo month-to-month). Housecall Pro doesn’t publish a fixed price on its pricing page; it offers tailored pricing through a demo, so check current price on Housecall Pro’s pricing page.
- Crew of 2–5: Jobber publishes a 5-user Connect price of $149/mo billed annually. Housecall Pro’s pricing page now gives tailored quotes through a demo, so check its current price for your team size before you decide.
- Trial: both list a 14-day free trial, and both say no credit card is needed to start.
- Also worth a look for lawn: if you quote lawns from satellite measurements, QuoteIQ lists a measuring tool (MapMeasure Pro) from its Beginner plan at $99.99/mo. See Jobber vs QuoteIQ.

What matters for lawn work
- Recurring visits. Weekly and biweekly mowing is the core of most lawn routes. Both tools list recurring jobs and scheduling. Set up a sample route of real clients during the trial and see which calendar is faster for you.
- Quotes for new lawns. Neither Jobber nor Housecall Pro lists a built-in satellite measuring tool in its plan table. If you measure from aerial images, compare QuoteIQ too.
- Seasonal billing. If you invoice monthly instead of per visit, test that during the trial. It’s the setup owners most often get stuck on.
- Card fees. Housecall Pro lists card processing “as low as 2.59%.” Compare processing fees too, not just the subscription.
Who should skip each
- Skip Jobber if you want satellite measuring built in, or if month-to-month billing matters and you don’t want to pay the higher monthly rate.
- Skip Housecall Pro if you want a published price before talking to sales, or if you want to compare prices before booking a demo.
